Support our work

We have been informed by the Waltham Fire Department that due to a new code being imposed, all public seating must now meet the flammability requirements of California Bureau of Home Furnishings Technical Bulletin 117. The good news is that all of the chairs in the dining room and the Guild meeting room do comply.

However, the chairs in the Auditorium, which are over 40 years old, will have to be replaced. The Auditorium is our largest and most used meeting place. It is used for Marriage Preparation Program, Confirmation classes, Prayer meetings, Silent Retreats, and a host of other events.

There are 120 chairs and the replacement cost is $90.00 per chair for a total of $10,800. We have received a generous donation of $1,500 towards this project leaving a balance of $9,300.
